Just because the 4th has come and gone doesn't mean Summer is over! Do you still have those stubborn few pounds to shed that are holding you back? Here's 5 tips for losing that last bit of flab to help you be even more fab!
One of the main things preventing you from reaching your goals during the holiday is probably all the decadent treats scattered around the house! I mean come on- who can resist Grandma's double chocolate cherry brownies?! But make a new tradition by recreating these recipes in a healthier way. There are always easy ways to revamp old recipes, for example, you could sub apple sauce for butter, or almond flour for regular flour.
We've said it before and we'll say it again: exercise is essential for helping you achieve your weight loss goals. Make this a family event and go for a run in the local park, or park farther away from the shops at the mall so you're forced to walk, or put on an exercise video that you can do in the comfort of your home. There's always a way to make time, you just have to prioritize it! (And don't forget to take your Ultimate Beauty Body Formula for a healthy kickstart to your sweat sash!)
If you have someone in your family with likeminded goals, you can partner up and conquer the holiday together! Having a workout buddy, someone to remind you to keep your portions in check, or someone who is simply on the same page as you, can really help you stick to your goals. Even if you have to do some convincing to get Aunt Heather to be your partner-in-crime - do it, it'll pay off in the long run.
If you set a goal, it is up to you to achieve it. You are in control of how you choose to treat your body and what you put inside of it. When you start to feel overwhelmed, take a step back, take a deep breath and go for a walk outside to clear your head.
Not only should you be drinking tons of water on these hot, Summer days, you should also be mindful of calories you drink. (Try our Beauty Sleep Tea at night to say buh-bye to that bloat!) If you are consuming alcohol, portion control is key, and more water is needed. Skip the margaritas, beer, and sugary drinks and opt for vodka or mixed drinks with little added sugar. Make alcohol consumption an occasion, rather than a consistent habit during the holiday time to keep that Summer bod in check.
The Summer (and holidays) are an exciting time filled with loved ones, fun events, and time in the sun. Be the best version of you by making yourself a priority. If you are in good health, you will most definitely be happier and able to enjoy those around you.
