Got Cellulite? Find Out What's Missing From Your Detox

No one likes cellulite. Not. One. Person. 

According to Medical News Today, "The causes of cellulite are not well understood, but there are several theories that have been put forth as explanations. Among these are: hormonal factors, genetics, diet, lifestyle factors, and clothing."

 Try these tips and tricks for reducing cellulite by incorporating them into your daily detox. Whether your detox is a daily sweat sesh, a juice cleanse, a sauna steam, etc., take it to the next level with these changes (And of course- by incorporating your BikiniBOD)!

1. Be Picky

Elimination isn't always the right answer when it comes to cleansing. We think that it has much more to do with choosing foods that will assist your body in naturally detoxing. For example, choose herbs and spices that will light your digestive fire like ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, and garlic. This will help your body to process your food, while still maintaining optimal nutrition.

2. Flush it out

If you aren't drinking enough water, you are increasing your risk for enhancing the appearance of cellulite. Just think about the symptoms of dehydration: lumpy, aged, shriveled. Drink more water than you think you need too, and cleanse yourself from the inside out. 

3. Oil Up

 

Essential oils can be helpful for reducing the appearance of cellulite, as they may stimulate circulation, burning excess body fat. Apply the oil to the skin, and use a gentle brush to massage a cellulite-dense area. 

4. Target Cellulite 

Choose exercises in the gym that will target those cellulite-based areas. We recommend kettle bell swings, lunge and glute kicks, and squats for the back of the thigh and buttocks area!
