Say Goodbye to Split Ends and Hello to Gorgeous Full hair

Who doesn’t want full, luscious, shiny hair?

Well no matter if you have split ends, thin hair, some serious breakage or whatever it may be, there’s still hope. The great news is our hair is always growing. The question is, how do you get the hair you have always dreamed of? Sometimes we see a product, use it and are so disappointed because we had hopes of what it would look like and the results fell short. So let’s save our money on expensive fads, forget the past and what our hair was, and focus on the new.

What do I mean by that?

Let’s talk about new hair growth! How do we get new growth in immaculate condition? Well let’s talk about it. How Fast Does Hair Grow? Average hair grows about 6 inches per year, so every month we can count on .5 inches per month. A healthy scalp has about 100,000 strands of hair and we lose roughly 100 strands a day. With that being said, the fallen hairs are replaced with the new hair growth.

How can we speed up the hair growth process?

Now that we know the hair growth cycle can we speed up the process? The answer is, yes you can. Here are two tricks to get the ball rolling quicker with the new hair growth.

1. Brush your hair! Don’t you remember Marsha from the Brady Bunch? Well, turns out there is some truth to her beautiful blonde locks. Brushing your hair stimulates the follicles and increases blood flow to the scalp. Now I know we are all busy -HELLO it’s 2015 and we don’t have time to sit for hours brushing our hair. In fact over brushing your hair will damage it. So I suggest brushing your hair every other day if you have knots (YIKES) make sure to use a wide tooth comb and work from the bottom of your ends to the top of the scalp.

2. Biotin Baby! Yes it’s as if the hair gods loved us enough to send this magic product our way. What is Biotin? It’s a Vitamin of the B complex that is involved in the synthesis of fatty acids and glucose. Research has shown that Biotin has had a tremendous impact on the growth of hair skin and nails. By the way did you know that BikiniBOD - the ultimate beauty body product, not only promotes weight loss but also is jammed packed with biotin? Yes it’s true and it’s much easier to take one pill that does all the things necessary opposed to multiple pills. Aint no one got time for that! I personally would like to take one pill and save the rest of my money on a fabulous new pair of shoes. So with that being said, Biotin is a MUST for hair growth.

How do we maintain the new growth?

The most important thing is to take care of the new amazing hair growth that you now have. I always recommend taking it easy on the hot tools. Allow your hair to breath and naturally dry. I mean who doesn’t love beach waves! If you absolutely need your hot tools, try using the lowest setting. Another great way to maintain is to wash your hair every other day opposed to daily. Washing your hair daily can strip your natural oils, which we need to make the hair look shiny and healthy.

Ok, so here is a big one and I’m guilty of it, overuse of ponytail holders. Try to limit the amount of times you put your hair up in a ponytail to prevent breakage. Finally don’t skimp on trims. This is crucial to not only giving your hair movement and shape, but also creating more room for new growth.

These tips are going to get you one step closer to the hair you have always wanted! Happy Hair Day!
